What is JollyGul Music Group?

All music in the playlist above on this webpage has been produced by JollyGul Music Group. And all titles play with line by line lyrics and translations display.

JollyGul Music Group is a music creation resource and service within JollyGul.com - it is not a traditional band or fixed ensemble of artists. Artists are brought in project by project basis depending on the requirements of the song and instruments to be used. Because of our interest in wide-ranging genres of music as well as in fusion, experimentation and innovation, ensemble instrument skill sets vary from song to song.

The primary mission of JollyGul.com is to put the spotlight on our community's wonderfully talented artists so that their devotional work gets fully exposed to the Jamat and to ensure that it is available to everyone in a convenient and user-friendly way.

However, there are instances when we also create our own music. Here are some examples.

  1. Music for our internally produced special occasion videos - you can watch these on JollyGul YouTube Channel
  2. Experimenting with new ideas like producing Pir Sadardin's "Dhan Dhan Aaj No" ginan with Jazz music. This has been popular with our younger Jamat living in the West
  3. When we see a great recitation of a ginan or devotional song by a member of the Jamat (vocals only, without any music) and it has not been produced with musical accompaniment anywhere else, we approach the artist to see if they would like us to add music to their recitations for enhanced enjoyment by the Jamat. Examples here: Moman Man Em Jaann Jo Jee by Parviz Somji and Mein Waari Waari by Farida Karmali

Would You Like Music Added to Your Song?

If you would like us to consider your recitation for music addition by JollyGul Music Group, please note the following:

  1. The recitation and recording have to be of high quality.
  2. The song has to be of the type where music addition will substantially enhance it for the listening pleasure of the Jamat.
  3. The recitation should preferably be a ginan, qasida, geet or devotional song which has not been done with music by anyone else.
  4. It should be 3-4 mins long.
  5. There is no charge or fee for this service.
  6. Please send us more information using our Contact Form.
